The whole tour was planned and organised excellently. Urska and Yuki were ever ready to attend to our queries and concerns and addressed them. All destinations visited were accompanied by guided tours, done by locals. Hotels and breakfasts were overall good. Our driver, Dube, has been tirelessly taking us to every destinations and whenever time permits, he showed us extra places that were off plan. Shared our experience with family and friends back home. They are interested and we strongly recommended to them. The only 4 stars would be the hotel in Mostar. While still very good, it would be the low of all the hotels in the tour.
I found this place with a simple Google search, and I never could’ve expected the custom experience I received. They provided options to help my husband and I hone in on exactly what we wanted to do for our honeymoon. We had perfectly curated GPS-lead rides all across the country, they booked all of our hotels, and planned all of our transportation. Every place that we went was so beautiful. I was able to tailor a bike tour itinerary along the Adriatic coast that suited our group during the shoulder season. We added individual pre and post-trip activities which went smoothly. Our trip included stops in Italy, Slovenia and Croatia. The trip planner, guide and support team were great.
The Tour du Mont Blanc was easily one of the most memorable trips I’ve taken in years. From breathtaking views and warm, welcoming people to delicious food and charming mountain huts, every aspect of the journey was unforgettable. The hikes were significantly more challenging than I had anticipated, but the reward was well worth the effort. I can’t overstate how much smoother and more stress-free the experience was thanks to Hut to Hut’s incredibly detailed guides. Having accommodations pre-booked, access to a well-designed GPS trail map, and a comprehensive guide outlining what to expect, what to pack, and what to watch out for made all the difference. If you’re considering hiking the TMB, I wholeheartedly recommend booking with Hut to Hut. Their support turned a great adventure into an exceptional one.
I would highly recommend anyone doing this tour take the e-bike option. There were only 3 of us on our tour who completed this on regular bikes. Four others who started out on regular bikes swapped over to e-bikes after the first day. The climbs are long and steep. There is pretty much only up or down, not much flat or undulating road. It is doable, but very challenging. If you are on an e-bike then this also helps with the group staying together and no-one having to wait too long for others to catch up. The bikes were really good and had great gearing that was capable of handling the steeper climbs. When we booked we were unaware that we would be riding in a group of 20plus at all time. Thankfully our group had prior group riding experience but we did observe other large groups with less than desirable riding behaviours.Others in our group were extremely understanding and supportive. Our guide, David, was very adamant about staying safe on the road. He was flexible with the itinerary and made changes to suit the weather conditions and to ensure we got in as much riding as possible. He was vey knowledgeable about Croatian history and agriculture and taught us lots about the country he is so passionate about. Our captain, Tolma, was also amazing and along with his awesome crew, made our cruise an enjoyable experience.
Just back from enjoying a long weekend cycling in Slovenia, the company arranged transfers to and from the airport, hotels, bikes, bike routes, including what to see and where, and even transportation of bags between hotels. The only thing we needed to worry about was where to eat; the whole trip was painless, and I would highly recommend them.
Samo and Eva did a wonderful job in organizing my six-day Slovenian Mountain Trail hike. From the first contact to the delivery of the package with hike details, hut reservations, GPX etc. was efficient. I had a wonderful challenging hike as a solo self-guided hiker. Samo was supportive to the extent possible for my challenging day #4 from Aljazev Hut to Dolicu Hut in very bad weather. All arrangements worked perfectly. Highly recommend them if you want to take the difficulty out of the organization itself and simply enjoy the hiking expereince.
Incredibly route through the Karavank & Julien ranges. Huts were rustic & scenic and all check-ins were smooth. The route guides that Hut-to-Hut provided were extremely helpful, available offline & gave us peace of mind while traveling through new territory. Highly recommend.

We had originally planned to join a guided group tour, but choosing the flexibility of sleeping in and setting our own pace turned out to be the best decision—and the savings let us upgrade our hotels. Wow! What an awesome tour! We did a self-guided cycling tour on gravel bikes and it could not have been more enjoyable! Such a beautiful country and such an intimate travel experience. We biked through mountain valleys, over mountain passes, along rivers, through small villages, through wooded hills, through vineyards, and along the Adriatic coast. Kudos to everyone that put this trip together! The hotel accommodations were perfect and the bikes we rented were high quality! Thank you!
We did the five day/four night highlight tour and it was breathtaking! The Tours Du Mont Blanc team was very accommodating of our request for private rooms on the hike (when available) and also with last minute logistics due to the Mount Blanc tunnel closure. Samo and Nina were very responsive and answered all of our many questions :).
I had a wonderful time in the Slovenian mountains. I felt very well taken care of, the GPS routes were just the right length and difficulty and very easy to follow. I received immediate answers to any questions. It was an unforgettable few days! Thank you!
Our walk was brilliant. The maps provided made everything so simple and the accomodation was very good. Having everything organised and nothing to pay for made it so smooth. We were so lucky with the Weather. Only the last 1/2 day was wet. I’m looking forward to our next walk with hut to hut
Nina did a great job organising the Stubai Hohenweg for us. She was always helpful with our additional requests for hotels before and after the hiking, and kept us up to date with availability for the huts we wanted including the possibility of a change to a preferred hut even during our hike. Very impressed with the organisation and with the Stubai area for hiking generally.
The trip was seamlessly organised.The accomodation was outstanding. The cycles were challenging and very satisfying to complete. The support was very good. The only criticism would be that on a few sections you are required to ride thru tunnels which are pitch black and very disorienting. Better bike lighting would have been helpful.
Walking Holidays Slovenia is great! They provided all of the information and made the arrangements for our self guided walk in Triglav National Park. We hiked to Vodnikov Dom the first day, then to the Seven Lakes Basin the second day, then back to Ribcev Laz the third day. The trails were well marked, and the GPS app recommended by Walking Holidays Slovenia was very helpful for keeping us on track. The trails were very rocky in places, which was a bit of a challenge for us, but it was so beautiful! Very much recommend this company!
We had an incredible time on the 5 day hut to hut hike in Croatia. The views were perfect, the accommodation much nicer than we imagined and we had a fantastic support guide - Ivan - who was very friendly and made the whole trip possible. We were also able to go to the beach most days after we finished our hiking and everything was very flexible. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
Very professional and attentive. I did the 6 day slovian mountain trail. Had an amazing adventure which i will never forget. A little hiking experience is required and a good fitness level. Having no time to plan the trip myself, this was a perfect solution.
From the very beginning, the Cycling Holidays Austria team have been amazing. They provided a flexible service that met our specific needs and journey itinerary, which a good number of other providers would not entertain. This was the best cycling experience we have ever had! The Julian Alps are spectacular, and the people of Slovenia are the kindest people. We went through so many amazing places. I cannot recommend this company enough. Everything was perfect.
Hut-to-Hut set up our accommodations and routes to hike in the High Tatras of Slovakia. Everything went very smoothly. The app with the description for each day and the GPS trail guidance went perfectly. The packing list and links to weather and emergency sites were easily accessible.
A fantastic 10 day hike in Slovenia. The customer service could not have been better when we had to change our start date at short notice. Similarly when one of the passes was closed on the hiking trail the automatically organised a bus transfer to take us to the next point at no additional costs. Again when one of the hotels was ‘problematic’ and demanded we pay (despite this being booked through the company) they were on the phone in minutes and had forwarded through a refund within 24hrs. As for the hike - simply stunning!
Communications with Hut-to-hut personnel was pleasant, quick and helpful. The initial guidelines for preparing for the trip (what to bring and so on) was necessarily thorough for a first timer in the Alps. The description of each days' journey was helpful in preparing for planning your food and drinks. The gps app was good to check your whereabouts. I would have found an estimate for the duration of each journey beforehand helpful yet I understand that it can be difficult as we all fare differently. For a healthy female in her late 40's with moderate physical status (meaning 2-3 times of gym per week and brisk daily walking/bicycle instead of jogging or running) a trip of rating 3/5 in challenging was pretty rough yet doable. My 16yrs old son not doing much aerobic training adabted quickly to the needs of that trip. Just to give a reference if anyone is wondering what the ratings might mean to them. 😊 All in all so happy we did this and a big thank you for the Hut-to-hut crew!
The bike tour „Through The Wine Hills of Piedmont“ was excellently organized. The routes led through the unique hilly landscape of the Piedmont with great views. We particularly appreciated the fact that the tracks led through the villages, past all the nice sights, and ended direct in front of the next accommodation. All overnight stays were varied and in great locations, sometimes in nature, sometimes in the city, but always within walking distance of in at least one high-quality restaurant. The well prepared manual with detailled stage description helped us much to get a quick overview of what is important for the individual stage. We will remember the tour for a long time and thank Europe Cycling Holidays for this fantastic experience.
The Sparta self guided tour was the best cycle tour I’ve ever done. Everything from the apps and their ease of use, routes, sights, places of interest, places to eat and accommodation selection was absolutely sensational. A credit to Timotej, Janez and Klemen for their skill in preparing such a journey and incredible experience for us. Already thinking about the next one!!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Hut to Hut Hiking. They were exceedingly responsive, patiently answering my many emails' worth of questions about itineraries, schedules, logistics, and the like. They helped to create an absolutely perfect trek according to the limited time I had and they provided helpful information for me to organize travel to and from the start and end points. Hut to Hut's communication is professional, their website is useful, and the itinerary and GPS tracking information they sent me once I paid/booked was flawless. The trails were easy to follow, Ride with GPS worked perfectly, and I was so grateful to have relied on a company to facilitate my route in a country where I was unfamiliar. I'm used to planning my own routes, but Hut to Hut Hiking's expertise and insight made the entire experience infinitely more pleasant.
1) Stunningly beautiful places with perfect weather! Good balance of countryside and old city walking. 2) The Trip App was incredible!!! 5 stars! Loved the write ups on each location. The links to all restaurants, hotels, attractions, tickets! The GPS app also worked. 3) PERFECTLY located hotels and rooms with two beds and thoughtful staff! Loved being right in the old towns with amazing views. I did not mind carrying bags up or down in order to have the locations but much appreciated when we did have help with this 4) Breakfast being included with the rooms (even though there was a mix up the first morning). I don't like to have to plan breakfast spots and the buffets were incredible. 5) The kindness and promptness of the drivers, Nice transport vehicles and easy drop off and pick up points. Plus help with our bags. 6) The Walking Holidays Croatia team was helpful and easy to work with. We appreciate all they did to customize out trip.
Europe Cycling Holidays organized a customized, self-guided road cycling trip for my husband and I from Ljubljana to the Julian Alps and ending in Piran in Slovenia. At the beginning of the organizing process, I used their ZOOM mtg option to ask a lot of questions and determine what we wanted e.g. hotels, room upgrades, routes, etc. With follow-up emails over the next few weeks, and fixing a few glitches that arose, we were excited for our 10-day trip. And we were NOT disappointed! Our trip was amazing. The rental bikes, hotels, GPX files, scheduled luggage transfers, detailed itinerary in an app (including restaurant suggestions, GPS profiles, bike shops en route, luggage pickups), etc. were all amazing. The country of Slovenia is incredibly beautiful and we enjoyed the challenges of the routes in the Alps, the serenity of Lake Bled, the spectacular scenery of Goriška Brda wine region, and everything in between. We had quick responses via WhatsApp from Customer Service for any issues we had during our trip e.g. organizing a van transfer on a day we decided not to ride due to a fall and bad weather. Overall, we had a great experience in Slovenia and highly recommend Europe Cycling Holidays.
The bike trip exceeded my expectations and was beyond fantastic. From Ljubljana to Bled with a guide through the Hidden Hills. Then my first solo self guided from the Alps in Bled to Piran in the Adriatic. I can’t say enough about the Slovenia Cycling Holidays crew who gave me guidance and confidence to take out on my own. Not to mention the extraordinary routes that they mapped out.
We recently completed the cycling tour from Bled to Piran with Slovenia Cycling Holidays. All the organising and running of the tour was excellent. We had excellent communication with Anna during the planning and also excellent and very helpful advice during the trip from Timotej We were unlucky on the final day to strike severe thunderstorms which made the day very difficult and less enjoyable. The weather stopped us enjoying the wonderful scenery into Piran. Timotej offered to transport us, but we wished to complete the ride. We had an amazing trip from Bled to Pula. Everything was thoughtfully curated from the route to dinner suggestions and accommodations. So much beauty and diversity in such a relatively short distance. They were very responsive when we had a few issues along the way with our bikes. Highly recommend!
This was a wonderful trip! They communicated quickly, usually the next day. They were patient with amending trip plans. Ivana was great. She figured us out quickly and modified our trip to make it wonderful. I can imaging that spending a week + with the same person could get old, but Ivana felt more like having a friend go along with us. Slovenia (1st visit) seemed like a cross between Switzerland and Italy. The people are friendly. The topography is varied for such a small country. I just loved this country. I would go again in a second. Go with World Discovery. They know the ins and outs and helped us avoid most of the crowds. Everything was set up perfectly.
Our one week tour of Slovenia with these 3 young local guides surpassed all expectations! We travelled from Bled through the Sovenian Alps all the way to to coastal seaside Piran, through villages , on backroads ….it felt like riding through a story book….a delightful surprise around every turn . Our guides took care of our every need: charming accommodations, snacks every day at fantastic off beat locations, mid-ride. We covered 250 km over 5 riding days. The one day we were rained out, they quickly pivoted, and we were able to visit a wonderful historical national museum, which informed us so much in terms of the history in the Soča valley…So the day became not a write off but an educational experience! It was quite special to know the history of the Soča valley as we journeyed through the region, seeing the incredible geographical diversity of this beautiful country on excellent quality e-bikes. Highly recommend! Trip of a lifetime ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A fantastic 3 day self guided Hut to Hut hike around Triglav National Park in Slovenia. We experienced a full range of weather which made it an unforgettable trip. The organisation and back up support with GPS maps etc was excellent. Hut staff were friendly and very happy to give advice and suggestions on the routes and directions. Would recommend.
First class company with a well planned route, great accommodation and simply outstanding support in time of trouble. We did a two week ride from Bled to Pula in September 2023. Fair to say we hit a lot of problems courtesy of BA with rescheduled and diverted flights, lost bags, problems with our own bikes, returning rental bikes and more. Daja was simply amazing in helping us sort all of them out and was so accessible at all hours. She even managed to source and buy a forgotten Thru-axle and deliver it personally to our hotel, which is far and above any service i would reasonably expect. Thank you !! Our accommodation was fantastic and far better than expected in all but one location. The route planning in Slovenia was great but due to our decision to bring road bikes from the UK and the nature of the roads in Croatia, our second week was a bit tricky route wise and it would have been good to have had a discussion about this section beforehand. A Gravel bike is far better suited to Croatia although this was our decision to bring road bikes. Transport arrangement and logistics were flawless. Overall, i would change very little and we will definitely be returning to Slovenia. Daja was fantastic and I absolutely recommend Slovenia Cycling Holidays and will be using their services again.

Had a ball! We rode from Ljubljana to Bled via the mountains - 5 days/4 nights. Daja did a great job communicating with us and ironing out any hitches as soon as they were identified. E-Bikes were great (and v necessary!), accomm was great and the scenery was extraordinary! Being less fit, I wished I had opted for a days’ break at Lake Bohinj. My legs and butt would have appreciated it. Can’t wait to return and do another riding tour with this company!
Tina and her team gave me perfect support on my hut hike through the Triglav National Park in July. In particular, they had to cater to my specific needs twice, which they did for me with no problem. I once had to cancel at short notice before the start of the trip because my father was not feeling well, but then we found a solution and I was able to start the hike. Tina and team first canceled the huts immediately and then reserved them again for me. Even when my condition caused a little tour change again, I immediately had suggestions and these were immediately available in the Trip plans app. I liked this app very much because it was easy to handle and the huttohut-team gave a short overview how the daily tour will be and which highlights – mostly beautiful views – I will see“

Daja Gorišek was the travel agent from here who meticulously organised the trek all the way from Meiringen to Lenk im Simmental. She took care of all the details -- from planning the actual trek route, the detailed GPS map for each stage, to the hotels. The actual experience was entirely consistent with what was promised.
Did the Eastern Madeira walking holiday. The hikes were lovely though some were crowded. But they were crowded cause the view was great. So can't skip loved the ocean side cliffs for a couple days and then the forests along levadas. We had a misunderstanding with the driver as he thought we should have finished sooner. So give them a reasonable estimate. He never asked and his estimate caused all the issues. But we whatsapped the company and they set it straight. Food is good in the towns. We packed lunch everyday as some of those places along the way had long lines. We went a day early and did a sightseeing day with their driver and it also helped with jet lag. Hikes are pretty moderate, so you have energy to enjoy the town in the evenings. The Island is beautiful ❤️
We had the most wonderful 10 days with our guide Tine exploring Slovenia and Croatia. Although I am sure it is also incredible in the summer, we were thrilled that we chose winter as we got to explore in the beautiful snow and with low human traffic - just magnificent. Tine was an endless fountain of knowledge, kind, careful driver and a great human being all around. Thank you Tine and Balkan Tours, we loved every minute!
I’m incredibly grateful for their help as I booked a last minute Tour du Mont Blanc solo trip in September and they were the only service to help me on such short notice. Everything was taken care of as far as accommodations, transportation tips, and trekking advice. They were only a text away and helped me throughout the journey and were even there to help me with some extended plans to catch the sunrise at Lac Blanc and accomplish a few other goals. They booked our lodging, provided luggage transfers, and gave us daily GPS files for the cycling route every day which made for an amazing trip! This was the highlight of our 5 week holiday in Europe. Beautiful islands and a wonderful way to explore them. The bike rides were varied each day and our guides were fabulous. We felt we deserved our delicious 3 course lunch after a big cycle. Great experience with like minded people - I highly recommend it.
Cycling & Walking in Slovenia: This was a brilliant holiday - the country is perfect for mixing cycling and walking - compact, great infrastructure, super friendly people and stunning scenery. The itinerary is “about right” but would be vastly improved if there were a few options each day for both cycling and hiking routes. We used the cycling routes as a “base” and added from there, but after the first hike we took to the cicerone guide book to provide us with the walking routes. The hire bikes (A2U) were great quality. The hotels were lovely but seemed surprised we arrived with bikes! The bag transfers were a bit patchy arriving after 2pm (but just before 4) on one day - so don’t assume everything will arrive before you on a cycle transfer day.
Slovenia to Croatia 9/2025 Self-guided. Excellent trip in so many ways. Pre coordination was flawless. Quick responses from tour company. Bikes, helmets, GPS, and maps all were top notch. Loding was great. Luggage transfers accurate and timely. Would not hesitate to book another trip with this tour company.
Dalmatia South bike cruise with Katarina Line guides Nataša and Kristijan and Adonis captain Roko and his crew made the week fantastic! I was very impressed at how flexible they were. Before we set off at Mljet, I asked Nataša if we’d have time to take the boat ride in the park to an island there. They hadn’t originally planned for that but pivoted and included it for the entire group.
Hut to Hut took care of all the details and we felt secure and pampered. The hotel accommodation was excellent on all counts throughout the tour and the private drivers were friendly, informative and easy going. The company was flexible when we changed the plans due to rain and we appreciated that very much. We certainly recommend Hut to Hut tours.
Our experience riding the Alps to Adriatic route through Slovenia Cycling Holidays was absolutely incredible. I absolutely recommend planning a trip with them. We especially appreciated the breakfast provided at each hotel and luggage transfer each day. The Slovenia Cycling Holidays team communicated very clearly with us and all the logistics of our trip were perfectly planned. We opted to rent gravel bikes and the bikes were perfect for our route.
We were five girls travelling to Romania to experience Andrea Bocelli perform at the Unforgettable Music Festival in Bucharest on the 12th of September 2025. We wanted to make a tour of the Balkans following the concert and The Balkan Tours put together a very special itinerary for us. They arranged for excellent quality transfers from Romania to Bulgaria (Velico Tanovo and Sofia) to Belgrade in Serbia and onto Montenegro (Podgorica and Bay of Kato) and finally to Dubrovnik and Split in Croatia. They arranged excellent quality hotels with breakfast and great locations, and personalized tours to enjoy each city and destination in a meaningful manner. They gave quality suggestions about places to eat, and visit, and loads of other historical information about the places we were visiting. They created a tour app for us to make it easy to know all the details with important phone numbers. The Balkan Tours took good care of us, we felt safe and connected to our agent at all times, and we enjoyed our two weeks in the region. We would recommend their company to travelers looking for a personalized service and customized tours of the Beautiful Balkans. There is so much more to see, and we had too little time, we will most certainly come back and use the company again to assist us in our travel plans. Hut to Hut was a wonderful company to work with. I didn't have time to plan my own route and book the huts so it was a relief to have someone else do this. I chose the self-guided tour. I live and hike in the Rocky Mountains and the trails in the Julian Alps were well marked and the GPS track from Hut to Hut was easy to use and know exactly where I was. There was a rain warning one day and Hut to Hut was quick to respond and provide alternate routes if I desired, and more information about the weather. The mountain huts they booked were me were spectacular. One airbnb in Trenta was, unexpectedly, a few miles extra walk after a long day but Hut to Hut called the airbnb owner and arranged for me to be picked up in town which my feet and I were very grateful for. I would definitely use them again and will recommend them highly to anyone considering this amazing and beautiful trip!
Xavi was a great guide. He had the right mix of driving you on and making sure you were ok. While I decided not to do Mont Blanc after Gran Parridiso, we were able to move to Saas Fee and do a number of 4000 peaks there. It was a great and rewarding trip.
Our guide was great in showing us around and meeting our needs. Traveling to different parts of the country and seeing a variety of sites was excellent. Petzen bike park was really fun. As well as the Golovec and Kočevsko areas. The single track portion of the Muggia ride was too steep and loose.
This was a fabulous trip and so well organized. The route planned by Slovenia Cycling Holidays was wonderful and so varied from the mountains to wine country to the sea. Our hotels were fabulous - would recommend the 4 star hotel upgrades. The logistics and support were perfect with no hitches at all and great communication and responsiveness. I highly recommend this trip if you enjoy cycling. I also recommend the eBike unless you are wanting a very challenging 35 mile/day ride with some significant ascents (my 70 year old husband did ride the entire route without e-Bike, but I was very grateful to have it).
I was admittedly nervous about booking this trip and trusting that all of the pieces would fall into place. We had transportation to and from airports, luggage transportation, multiple hotels and mountain huts booked…a lot of moving pieces. I’m delighted to report that it was all seamless and that our trip to Slovenia was the trip of a lifetime! The hotels chosen were gorgeous and comfortable. Transportation was perfect. Everything was exactly as it should be: complete perfection! And Slovenia: this country now holds our heart!

We had a wonderful experience doing the 4 day panoramic hike. The agency was super helpful and responsive. The map/gps and information was incredibly detailed. The places the agency booked for us to stay at night were a great mix of nice and new and authentic and rustic.
Once in a lifetime experience. Hut to Hut hiking Dolomites was a great choice to help us plan our trip. The app, support leading up to the trip, and thorough instructions and recommendations provided prior to the trip made planning as easy as possible. We chose the three day, two night seiser alm highlights and it was the perfect amount of time for us. The daily effort was strenuous (about 10 miles give or take each day, steady and challenging ascension), but enjoyable for two avid hikers like us. The site said a fitness level of 2 or 3 out of 5, but it felt like closer to a 4 in some stretches. The hotels/huts we stayed in were fantastic. The rooms, staff, and amenities were excellent and added to our wonderful immersion in this beautiful area of the world. We will definitely use hut to hut hiking Dolomites again, should we have the opportunity to explore the area in the future.
We booked the Triglav Panorama hut to hut tour only a week in advance and had the best experience. It was booked so quickly at short notice and was very well organised. Everything worked smoothly with the mountain huts and the team was so responsive to any questions. Would definitely recommend, especially for a first self-guided hut to hut experience - it was very reassuring to have the team’s expertise and guidance!
My husband and I did the three day (Seven Lakes Hike). We are both 55+ and found it to be an amazing challenge & experience for us. Jan was our guide and was so knowledgeable and supportive. He assesses you on the first day and Decides what you are capable of and really gives you a great experience that meets your level of skill in hiking. He is very flexible, but at the same time will push you to your limit if you want that. It’s not the distance that was the challenge. It’s more about the elevation, Step height and uneven path under foot. Also part of the charm, because it is not so Well trodden , as other hikes. The countryside is absolutely stunning. The people you meet along the way are all mostly young and positive. It is quite popular so expect to share dorms with other people, He arranged on the second night for us to have our own room, which was really nice . Showers were not available, A positive flexible mindset is required But this is part of the charm of it all. We went in a group and had one other person with us. We would team “Matilda”.. Great bonding experience And one of the most physically difficult things we’ve done together as a couple.
Wonderful experience - all the information provided for our Berlin to Oslo self guided cycle was brilliant and once on the ground, all ran smoothly with stunning routes for cycling. Unfortunately we couldn’t finish the tour due to an emergency back home. But this is the true test of a good operator - they swung into action, ensuring we didn’t have to worry about anything else but getting home. Thank you. Really amazing experience. The 9-Day Essentials Tour took us to beautiful cities and countryside across the Balkans, and our guide Stefan was so kind and deeply knowledgeable about each place we went. The hotel accommodations were perfectly fine and in prime locations in the cities, each with a nice breakfast included. Communication from the company was fast and professional. I highly recommend this company, and we will work with them again when we are able to come back to the Balkans!
It was great! TMB is spectacular. For sure, I was challenged to my senior capacity--but I was so glad to have done it I(with my daughter, who took the hard routes, when I opted for some shortcuts)--and would love to do it again! The company delivered as promised. They were very responsive with some last minute changes while on the route, including a rescheduled pick up and alternative routes on some days, including a ladderless one for me on the next to last day. An agent was available by phone on weekends. My bag was safely and efficiently transported from Les Houches, to all the huts in between, and then to our hotel in Chamonix. The scenery was wonderful.
The experience of this week in the Italian and French Alps has been spectacular. We have ascended Gran Paradiso and Mont Blanc. Everything was splendidly organized by Anja. I have a very positive opinion of the guides (Davide, Marco), the organization, and the group we formed. The weather was on our side. This is the only thing that cannot be predicted, but when I chose "Climb Mont Blanc" to ascend to the roof of the Alps, I did not make a mistake. It has been an unforgettable week. Hut to Hut Dolomites is AMAZING. Booking from afar (USA) is always stressful but they took care of everything. We actually didn't stay in a hut but rather in hotels that they arranged. Everything was perfect. Nice hikes planned. Great accomodations. Nice recommendations on local options, etc. Really felt like we could just show up and have fun. Plus everyone there is so friendly and easy to work with. Truly makes a difference.
My group of 3 had a blast on the Tour du Mont Blanc which were booked with this group. They had very helpful trip handouts and daily maps which were easy to follow. They also addressed our questions very well and were attentive. I would recommend to anyone else who's considering doing the TMB.

My husband and I recently completed a Walking Holiday of the Amalfi Coast for 11 days, which was absolutely fantastic and the highlight of our trip to Italy. The travel agents who organised the tour Anja and Samo were very helpful, adjusting and customising it to suit our requests. The accomodation booked for us was very comfortable and the transfer of our luggage from hotel to hotel took place with no issues. Our hiking guides including Alessandra, Marcella and Diego were all exceptional. They were friendly, supportive and extremely knowledgable about the towns and regions we walked in. They ensured we had a fantastic experience creating memories, while enjoying the walking, the amazing views, the tasty food and the beautiful Italian culture. It was a very well designed trip- Slovenia is such a beautiful country. The routes were very well planned, including the hotels. Rental bikes were amazing, they accommodated our specific requirements. I would highly recommend and would certainly go back with the same company. One small thing we ran into was not getting a quick response on one of the days where we wanted some options as it was going to rain and we wanted to see if there are alternates to getting to our next location incase we couldn’t ride. We understand it was a last minute request and after hours but an acknowledgement would have been appreciated- specially when you are new to the country and need help. Like I said it was a minor thing, therefore I’m passing along my feedback. Overall they very responsive during planning and suggesting options and providing support outside the cycling trip. We had a great experience with hut to hut hiking Slovenia on our recent Slovenian mountain highlights hike. Directions paired with the GPS track were very helpful, the hike was wonderful and the views breathtaking. The information provided was a life-saver (especially for those days when no huts were on the way to restock the energy).
We used Hut to Hut Slovenia to organise our 6-day hike in the Karawanke and the Julian Alps. They took the stress out of the booking process as none of the huts have websites and bookings must be made over the phone - coming from Australia, that would have been difficult.

We had an incredible experience booking our Dolomites hiking adventure through Hut-To-Hut Hiking Dolomites (one of the many companies operated through World Discovery). Traveling all the way from Hawai‘i, we were initially a bit hesitant about booking with a company based in Slovenia, but everything was flawless. Even factoring in the 12 hour time difference between Hawai'i and Europe, their communication was fast and professional. The planning materials were thorough and incredibly helpful including detailed daily hiking routes, suggested scenic stops and snack breaks at rifugios along the way, an app with offline downloadable maps customized to our routes, and clear hiking and safety guides. Every rifugio they booked for us was fantastic: clean, welcoming, well-located, and full of charm. They booked us at a 5-star hotel for the last night and the spa treatments were heavenly after days of hiking. The post-hike airport transportation was seamless, and we were especially grateful to have their help booking so close to peak summer season. There’s no way we could have secured such great rifugios on our own, each one they chose was a highlight. We felt fully supported throughout the trip, even though it was self-guided. They provide a 24/7 Whatsapp number which was nice to have in case of emergencies. We highly recommend Hut-To-Hut Hiking Dolomites for anyone looking to hike the Dolomites without the stress of figuring out all the logistics yourself. Would book with them again in a heartbeat.
We did the alps to the adriatic bike tour and let me tell you it was fantastic. The bikes were great, the organization of the company was great, the hotels they picked were (mostly) perfect. We honestly had a 10/10 experience. Our bags were in our hotel room every afternoon we arrived!! We had no issues, the app they use to give you information about your ride and help you get from point A to point B were extremely impressive. We never felt lost, or confused, or off track and we had zero cell service for the most part!!

We had a fabulous 14 day trip starting in Bled and ending in Pula. We were 2 couples on a self guided trip. Everything went without one problem. They are beautiful countries and cycling 12 days was a beautiful way to see them. Everybody on staff at Solvenia Cycling holidays were great to work with. You can not go wrong by using them to plan your trip either guided or unguided. 5 stars is not high enough.
I recently completed the Tour of Champions ride which is a 7-day road cycling tour in Slovenia. The entire experience was fantastic. The cycling in Slovenia is amazing. The roads were great and the scenery on each ride was spectacular. Our guide, Blaz, was fantastic. He planned routes throughout Slovenia and some parts of Italy that were amazing. The routes on each day included some amazing climbs which were challenging, to say the least, but after they were done there was an excitement among everyone in the group about completing the climbs. The routes also included some amazing flats where we were cruising along in a nice pace line. Blaz was also a great person. He was supportive of everyone in the group, and he was so encouraging and attentive to everyone. His attention to detail was admirable. The crew was also great in the support van. The hotels, the meals, and especially the bike that I rented was fantastic. It was a top-of-the-line bike which was equivalent to my bike at home. The accommodations were superb and the selection of restaurants for dinner each night were great. Tina, who I dealt with when it came to organizing the trip was great. She was very accessible, and she answered all the questions I had when organizing the trip for my wife and a friend of mine. Tina also helped me organize some kiteboarding in Croatia after the cycling trip which was outside the scope of her business model which was above and beyond. By the way the kiteboarding in Croatia was fantastic! The group was small with a total of 5 riders not including the guide. If anyone is interested in challenging themselves on a road cycling trip, I would strongly recommend this trip.

I did the Slovenian Tour of Champions cycling trip in June 2025. An absolutely fantastic trip! I had never been to Slovenia before and the places we went were absolutely stunning! Our guide, Blaž, and his crew were very thoughtful and encouraging throughout. The climbs were tough — several that were 8-10 mile climbs at average 7-10% grade that took me over an hour (and sometimes over 90 minutes) of continuous climbing. But the landscape made each climb worth it! Tina did a great job on pre-trip communications and chose outstanding boutique hotels and restaurants for each location. This is a smaller operation as compared to a Backroads-type company, but I’m very glad I went with them. We had a very small group of cyclists (4 Americans and 1 Australian), and everyone was super nice and got along well. The routes were well-chosen and we saw many of the top areas you’d want to see on a trip to Slovenia (Lake Bled, Lake Bohinj, Triglav National Forest, etc.). Highly recommended!
My self-guided Bergen Bike Tour was an amazing experience. The route took me through some of Norway's most beautiful landscapes, like the Sognefford and the charming village of Solvorn. I found this travel agency online while searching for tours that utilized Italy’s trains for moving around the country, and was very pleased with their services. Simona from their team helped plan and arrange a dream vacation for me and my daughter through Italy, tailoring our trip to focus only on the cities and sightseeing experiences we wanted and within the budget I provided for her. The hotels she found for us (5 in total across 4 cities) all were unique - 3 were historic - and locally owned, helping us to soak in the culture of each city. All hotels were easily walkable to everything we wanted to see and do. Additionally, Simona made herself very available throughout the trip to help us deal with any issues we had from figuring out how to store our luggage on trains to arranging for “lost” headphones to be mailed back to the US. She really went above and beyond to be helpful and make sure our trip was wonderful. She also gave us helpful recommendations for restaurants and other local things to do in each city. She really seemed to know each location very well! I am not sure she would call herself this, but I thought of Simona as our personal “travel concierge,” and it worked out perfectly. Being from the United States, I was a little hesitant about using a foreign company I’d found online and sending money via wire to them for payments, etc. But rest assured that this company is very legitimate and provides excellent service. I did the Fisherman Trail in Portugal mid April and I had a fantastic time. The trip was well organized and the luggage transfer seamless. The maps were clear and easy to navigate, and always got me to my destination safe and sound. And the accommodations felt like a complete splurge, especially the B&B. And of course the views along the trail were amazing. Definitely would recommend booking with them!

Our trip to Slovenia was a deep dive into its rich history and culture, thanks to the incredible planning by Urska. From the moment we arrived, we felt immersed in the local culture. Our first stop was Ljubljana, where we explored the vibrant markets with Ivana as our guide. She introduced us to local artisans and even arranged for us to participate in a traditional pottery workshop. It was amazing to create something with our own hands! We also visited the stunning Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle, where Ivana shared fascinating stories about their history. The trip culminated in a visit to the charming town of Piran on the coast, where we enjoyed fresh seafood at a seaside restaurant recommended by Urska. Overall the trip was well organized. There was a bit of confusion at the beginning with respect to hotel reservations and luggage transfer but Anja was very helpful in getting details sorted and responding promptly to any questions and concerns. We were travelling in the off season and in some small towns there were no or limited restaurants and food options. Anja helped us figure out GPS links and maps for our hikes. We very much appreciated all her efforts. The hikes were beautiful and we would book with Anja again.

We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our self-guided Alps to Adriatic tour. We worked with the agency to tailor a trip with some extra days in areas that were of interest to us. They were great to work with. We were super impressed with the package and with the high quality of the tourism infrastructure in Slovenia (well maintained roads, excellent directional and informational signage, lovingly restored historic structures). Pride of place is evident everywhere. We loved how the route took us through the heart of the country on bike paths and back roads and rail trails, through farm fields and vineyards and olive groves. The scenery is truly stunning. Each day was different and full of pleasant surprises. The length of the stages was well chosen to allow time for side trips. The trip planner document we received was full of helpful ideas. The restaurant recommendations were excellent and thoroughly reliable. We had some truly memorable meals. We received up-to-date information on road conditions and on alternative routes that were, as promised, equally stunning. The hotels were all very comfortable and offered a great spread at breakfast to fuel up for the next day of cycling. Communication about details like bike pickup and transport logistics could have been better, but all around, the trip was delightful. We look forward to doing another trip with these folks in the future.
Excellent all round. Had a 16-day tour by the Balkan Tours, with a driver and guide (same person - Dejan), who took care of everything. It was a lot of driving, and him being an ex-history teacher really brought the historic places to life. I cannot think of a more educational and enjoyable holiday.

Our 3 day hike had to be rearranged 2/2 weather, so a one day hike was arranged for us. We appreciated the concern about weather and conditions. Our hike was with Matevz, who was a great guide. Very helpful and knowledgable. Would definitely recommend and will be back for a longer hike one day!
Carros de Foc is a magical adventure with a little bit of spice for all trekkers: the vibe of the huts, the serene Lakes, the challenging trails, the occasional scrambles, options for extra peaks to climb, and a chance to serendipitously travel with strangers on the same loop. HUT TO HUT were great facilitators and accommodators to our needs and I would use them again for a memorable experience in the wilderness. I would recommend that a CDFmap be provided at the earliest stage so that trekkers can be better prepared.
We chose Walking Tours in Brittany because they offered a self-guided tour. They were extremely helpful before we left and during the trip when a few small issues arose. They responded immediately and solved each issue quickly. Their written guide was very informative and explained how to prepare for this adventure and an adventure it was. We saw the most extraordinary land and seascapes. The hike was challenging at times but well worth the effort.
Es war eine super Wanderung. Man hatte jeden Tag eine andere Szenerie und die Strecke war perfekt aufgeteilt (anstrengendere Tage und lockere Wege zwischendurch). Die Streckenlänge war perfekt und man hat immer gut 5-6 Stunden gebraucht. Die Informationen, die wir bekommen haben, waren super und auch auf der Karte waren immer wieder Essensmöglichkeiten und Wasserstellen markiert, sodass man sich perfekt drauf einstellen konnte. Alles in allem sind wir mehr als zufrieden und empfehlen es sehr!
I had the privilege of experiencing the hut-to-hut hike in Slovenia. It was my first visit to the country. Slovenia holds immense natural beauty with super clean lakes like Bled and Bohinj where you can safely swim and enjoy the mountains all around. The hut-to-hut hike was very well organized by the group, and they were very responsive to all questions. They provided access to a trip organizer and GPS app which was super accurate. Language was not even an after thought, everyone in Slovenia speaks excellent English, and the locals are among some of the most friendly Europeans I have come across. I definitely plan to go back with family again, and highly recommend the experience.
Incredible Experience. We chose the Balkan Extended tour. Our guide Teodor was absolutely awesome He was so knowledgeable in the history of each region and country, gave great suggestions on food and restaurants to try, and was so very informative on the people and culture for every site we visited. He was so interesting with a good sense of humor. He made the trip so enjoyable. We loved the small group tour as well. The cities and sites visited were great. We visited more sites and cities than I thought we were going to. There may be times you wish you could stay more time in an city or site but really this is the ideal tour to give you more than ever imagined you could experience or learn about the Balkans. This tour got us excited about coming back to the Balkans some time and now we know where we want to go explore more. Highly recommended.
Our dream of climbing Mont Blanc has come true. There is no guarantee for this, as the weather is unpredictable. Everything else was very well organized by you: from the very beginning, we were able to ask our questions about preparation and received relevant answers. Later, there were some rebookings that you facilitated. On site, we met our mountain guide: he led us in an absolutely professional manner and gave us a lot of confidence on the mountain. Everything went well with the accommodations too. We are completely satisfied and can only recommend World Discovery.
If I could give 100 stars, I would. I don't know if you're a big company or just two or three people behind this, but thank you for such an amazing experience. It was a beautiful adventure. The trails were perfect, each day different from the rest, and a natural beauty that I have seldom seen elsewhere. I had no experience in the world of hiking, and now I can't wait to do the next one! Anja and the team at Hut to Hut Hiking designed a terrific 6 day Dolomites himimg adventure for the three of us. The route was breathtaking and balanced, despite our booking very late (June for July), and everything went smoothly, including our luggage transfer. We had a 11 day tour through Croatia, Montengro and Albania through the Balkan Tours. Everything from the coordination of the tour leading up to it to our most fabulous tour guide Dejan was absolutley perfect. Dejan was so flexible in accommodating our needs and after a few days of getting to know us made alternative suggestions of our tour to suit our needs. The accommodation bookings that Marusa made were absolutely brilliant and if there was any issues at all we would have not known about it as Dejan sorted without being non the wiser. We cannot thank and recommend The Balkan Tours enough.
Our experience (5 day ride from Bled to Trieste) was fantastic. Europe Cycling was great on all aspects. The routes were clear and on rural roads with little traffic. The hotels were great. The service was fantastic (including a rain day where 4 of our group were transported by van from one location to another - arranged quickly and easily with the team on the actual day). You wont be disappointed. We'd definitely use them again.

Loved our bike ride from lake Bled in Slovenia to Pula in Croatia over 13 days .We were given excellent hard tail bikes with 650WH batteries. The scenery was amazing. The route we followed was on a GPS supplied by the company and went on rural roads and tracks with virtually no traffic The organisation by the company was terrific and our bags were delivered promptly to our hotels. The hotels were well situated in the old part of towns we stayed in I would highly recommend this trip. One of the most interesting and scenic self guided bike tours I have ever been on

The route over the Triglav had to be changed due to snow. Our guide Jan and also Luka for the summit ascent were prudent, helpful, showed the way, removed poles and luggage where necessary and made sure that we came back safe and sound. He knew the plants. In the huts, he organized the food and we played cards. The shuttle to the start and from the finish was also excellent.
We had the most amazing experience hiking the Via Alpina Bear Trek organized by Daja!! It’s always nerve wrecking trusting an organization to plan and prepare all parts of a trip like this but it worked out perfectly and we had no issues. The hiking, the hotels & recommendations, and the service by Daja and the Hut to Hut Hiking team was great from the booking to actual travel experience! The whole tour was planned and organised excellently. Urska and Yuki were ever ready to attend to our queries and concerns and addressed them. All destinations visited were accompanied by guided tours, done by locals. Hotels and breakfasts were overall good. Our driver, Dube, has been tirelessly taking us to every destinations and whenever time permits, he showed us extra places that were off plan. Shared our experience with family and friends back home. They are interested and we strongly recommended to them. The only 4 stars would be the hotel in Mostar. While still very good, it would be the low of all the hotels in the tour.

Samo and Eva did a wonderful job in organizing my six-day Slovenian Mountain Trail hike. From the first contact to the delivery of the package with hike details, hut reservations, GPX etc. was efficient. I had a wonderful challenging hike as a solo self-guided hiker. Samo was supportive to the extent possible for my challenging day #4 from Aljazev Hut to Dolicu Hut in very bad weather. All arrangements worked perfectly. Highly recommend them if you want to take the difficulty out of the organization itself and simply enjoy the hiking expereince.

We did the five day/four night highlight tour and it was breathtaking! The Tours Du Mont Blanc team was very accommodating of our request for private rooms on the hike (when available) and also with last minute logistics due to the Mount Blanc tunnel closure. Samo and Nina were very responsive and answered all of our many questions :).
Our walk was brilliant. The maps provided made everything so simple and the accomodation was very good. Having everything organised and nothing to pay for made it so smooth. We were so lucky with the Weather. Only the last 1/2 day was wet. I’m looking forward to our next walk with hut to hut

The only criticism would be that on a few sections you are required to ride thru tunnels which are pitch black and very disorienting. Better bike lighting would have been helpful.
Walking Holidays Slovenia is great! They provided all of the information and made the arrangements for our self guided walk in Triglav National Park. We hiked to Vodnikov Dom the first day, then to the Seven Lakes Basin the second day, then back to Ribcev Laz the third day. The trails were well marked, and the GPS app recommended by Walking Holidays Slovenia was very helpful for keeping us on track. The trails were very rocky in places, which was a bit of a challenge for us, but it was so beautiful! Very much recommend this company!
Very professional and attentive. I did the 6 day slovian mountain trail. Had an amazing adventure which i will never forget. A little hiking experience is required and a good fitness level. Having no time to plan the trip myself, this was a perfect solution.

Hut-to-Hut set up our accommodations and routes to hike in the High Tatras of Slovakia. Everything went very smoothly. The app with the description for each day and the GPS trail guidance went perfectly. The packing list and links to weather and emergency sites were easily accessible.
The bike tour „Through The Wine Hills of Piedmont“ was excellently organized. The routes led through the unique hilly landscape of the Piedmont with great views. We particularly appreciated the fact that the tracks led through the villages, past all the nice sights, and ended direct in front of the next accommodation. All overnight stays were varied and in great locations, sometimes in nature, sometimes in the city, but always within walking distance of in at least one high-quality restaurant. The well prepared manual with detailled stage description helped us much to get a quick overview of what is important for the individual stage. We will remember the tour for a long time and thank Europe Cycling Holidays for this fantastic experience.

1) Stunningly beautiful places with perfect weather! Good balance of countryside and old city walking. 2) The Trip App was incredible!!! 5 stars! Loved the write ups on each location. The links to all restaurants, hotels, attractions, tickets! The GPS app also worked. 3) PERFECTLY located hotels and rooms with two beds and thoughtful staff! Loved being right in the old towns with amazing views. I did not mind carrying bags up or down in order to have the locations but much appreciated when we did have help with this 4) Breakfast being included with the rooms (even though there was a mix up the first morning). I don't like to have to plan breakfast spots and the buffets were incredible. 5) The kindness and promptness of the drivers, Nice transport vehicles and easy drop off and pick up points. Plus help with our bags. 6) The Walking Holidays Croatia team was helpful and easy to work with. We appreciate all they did to customize out trip.

Then my first solo self guided from the Alps in Bled to Piran in the Adriatic. I can’t say enough about the Slovenia Cycling Holidays crew who gave me guidance and confidence to take out on my own. We recently completed the cycling tour from Bled to Piran with Slovenia Cycling Holidays. All the organising and running of the tour was excellent. We had excellent communication with Anna during the planning and also excellent and very helpful advice during the trip from Timotej We were unlucky on the final day to strike severe thunderstorms which made the day very difficult and less enjoyable. The weather stopped us enjoying the wonderful scenery into Piran. Timotej offered to transport us, but we wished to complete the ride. We can wholeheartedly recommend this Company if you wish a good cycling adventure with very good accommodation along the way. Thanks Anja and Timothy
We had an amazing trip from Bled to Pula. Everything was thoughtfully curated from the route to dinner suggestions and accommodations. So much beauty and diversity in such a relatively short distance. They were very responsive when we had a few issues along the way with our bikes. Highly recommend!
Our one week tour of Slovenia with these 3 young local guides surpassed all expectations! We travelled from Bled through the Sovenian Alps all the way to to coastal seaside Piran, through villages , on backroads ….it felt like riding through a story book….a delightful surprise around every turn . Our guides took care of our every need: charming accommodations, snacks every day at fantastic off beat locations, mid-ride. We covered 250 km over 5 riding days. The one day we were rained out, they quickly pivoted, and we were able to visit a wonderful historical national museum, which informed us so much in terms of the history in the Soča valley…So the day became not a write off but an educational experience! It was quite special to know the history of the Soča valley as we journeyed through the region, seeing the incredible geographical diversity of this beautiful country on excellent quality e-bikes. First class company with a well planned route, great accommodation and simply outstanding support in time of trouble. We did a two week ride from Bled to Pula in September 2023. Fair to say we hit a lot of problems courtesy of BA with rescheduled and diverted flights, lost bags, problems with our own bikes, returning rental bikes and more. Daja was simply amazing in helping us sort all of them out and was so accessible at all hours. She even managed to source and buy a forgotten Thru-axle and deliver it personally to our hotel, which is far and above any service i would reasonably expect. Thank you !! Our accommodation was fantastic and far better than expected in all but one location. The route planning in Slovenia was great but due to our decision to bring road bikes from the UK and the nature of the roads in Croatia, our second week was a bit tricky route wise and it would have been good to have had a discussion about this section beforehand. A Gravel bike is far better suited to Croatia although this was our decision to bring road bikes. Transport arrangement and logistics were flawless. Overall, i would change very little and we will definitely be returning to Slovenia. Daja was fantastic and I absolutely recommend Slovenia Cycling Holidays and will be using their services again.
Had a ball! We rode from Ljubljana to Bled via the mountains - 5 days/4 nights. Daja did a great job communicating with us and ironing out any hitches as soon as they were identified. E-Bikes were great (and v necessary!), accomm was great and the scenery was extraordinary! Being less fit, I wished I had opted for a days’ break at Lake Bohinj. My legs and butt would have appreciated it. Can’t wait to return and do another riding tour with this company!

Did the Eastern Madeira walking holiday. The hikes were lovely though some were crowded. But they were crowded cause the view was great. So can't skip loved the ocean side cliffs for a couple days and then the forests along levadas. We had a misunderstanding with the driver as he thought we should have finished sooner. So give them a reasonable estimate. He never asked and his estimate caused all the issues. But we whatsapped the company and they set it straight. Food is good in the towns. We packed lunch everyday as some of those places along the way had long lines. We went a day early and did a sightseeing day with their driver and it also helped with jet lag. Hikes are pretty moderate, so you have energy to enjoy the town in the evenings. The Island is beautiful ❤️
I’m incredibly grateful for their help as I booked a last minute Tour du Mont Blanc solo trip in September and they were the only service to help me on such short notice. Everything was taken care of as far as accommodations, transportation tips, and trekking advice. They were only a text away and helped me throughout the journey and were even there to help me with some extended plans to catch the sunrise at Lac Blanc and accomplish a few other goals. After completing the Grand Balkans Trip I can highly recommend this company for the quick response to communication, efficient detail and documentation. This was the highlight of our 5 week holiday in Europe. Beautiful islands and a wonderful way to explore them. The bike rides were varied each day and our guides were fabulous. We felt we deserved our delicious 3 course lunch after a big cycle. Great experience with like minded people - I highly recommend it.
Dalmatia South bike cruise with Katarina Line guides Nataša and Kristijan and Adonis captain Roko and his crew made the week fantastic! I was very impressed at how flexible they were. Before we set off at Mljet, I asked Nataša if we’d have time to take the boat ride in the park to an island there. They hadn’t originally planned for that but pivoted and included it for the entire group.
Hut to Hut took care of all the details and we felt secure and pampered. The hotel accommodation was excellent on all counts throughout the tour and the private drivers were friendly, informative and easy going. The company was flexible when we changed the plans due to rain and we appreciated that very much. We certainly recommend Hut to Hut tours.
Xavi was a great guide. He had the right mix of driving you on and making sure you were ok. While I decided not to do Mont Blanc after Gran Parridiso, we were able to move to Saas Fee and do a number of 4000 peaks there. It was a great and rewarding trip.
This was a fabulous trip and so well organized. The route planned by Slovenia Cycling Holidays was wonderful and so varied from the mountains to wine country to the sea. Our hotels were fabulous - would recommend the 4 star hotel upgrades. The logistics and support were perfect with no hitches at all and great communication and responsiveness. I highly recommend this trip if you enjoy cycling. I also recommend the eBike unless you are wanting a very challenging 35 mile/day ride with some significant ascents (my 70 year old husband did ride the entire route without e-Bike, but I was very grateful to have it).
We had a wonderful experience doing the 4 day panoramic hike. The agency was super helpful and responsive. The map/gps and information was incredibly detailed. The places the agency booked for us to stay at night were a great mix of nice and new and authentic and rustic.
We booked the Triglav Panorama hut to hut tour only a week in advance and had the best experience. It was booked so quickly at short notice and was very well organised. Everything worked smoothly with the mountain huts and the team was so responsive to any questions. Would definitely recommend, especially for a first self-guided hut to hut experience - it was very reassuring to have the team’s expertise and guidance!
My husband and I did the three day (Seven Lakes Hike). We are both 55+ and found it to be an amazing challenge & experience for us. Jan was our guide and was so knowledgeable and supportive. He assesses you on the first day and Decides what you are capable of and really gives you a great experience that meets your level of skill in hiking. He is very flexible, but at the same time will push you to your limit if you want that. It’s not the distance that was the challenge. It’s more about the elevation, Step height and uneven path under foot. Also part of the charm, because it is not so Well trodden , as other hikes. The countryside is absolutely stunning. The people you meet along the way are all mostly young and positive. It is quite popular so expect to share dorms with other people, He arranged on the second night for us to have our own room, which was really nice . Showers were not available, A positive flexible mindset is required But this is part of the charm of it all. We went in a group and had one other person with us. We would team “Matilda”.. Great bonding experience And one of the most physically difficult things we’ve done together as a couple.

The experience of this week in the Italian and French Alps has been spectacular. We have ascended Gran Paradiso and Mont Blanc. Everything was splendidly organized by Anja. I have a very positive opinion of the guides (Davide, Marco), the organization, and the group we formed. The weather was on our side. This is the only thing that cannot be predicted, but when I chose "Climb Mont Blanc" to ascend to the roof of the Alps, I did not make a mistake. It has been an unforgettable week. We give Hut-to-Hut our highest recommendation! They organized a fantastic and perfectly challenging hike for us in the beautiful Brenta Dolomites in Italy. From start to finish, communication with the agency was smooth, quick, and helpful. Any questions or special requests we had were handled promptly. We hiked independently using the GPS app they provided, which was super easy to use and made navigation stress-free. Each night, we stayed in charming refugios or hotels - complete with three delicious meals, refreshing little lakes to swim in, and plenty of peaceful spots to recharge before the next day’s adventure. It was a very well designed trip- Slovenia is such a beautiful country. The routes were very well planned, including the hotels. Rental bikes were amazing, they accommodated our specific requirements. I would highly recommend and would certainly go back with the same company. One small thing we ran into was not getting a quick response on one of the days where we wanted some options as it was going to rain and we wanted to see if there are alternates to getting to our next location incase we couldn’t ride. We understand it was a last minute request and after hours but an acknowledgement would have been appreciated- specially when you are new to the country and need help. Like I said it was a minor thing, therefore I’m passing along my feedback. Overall they very responsive during planning and suggesting options and providing support outside the cycling trip. We had a great experience with hut to hut hiking Slovenia on our recent Slovenian mountain highlights hike. Directions paired with the GPS track were very helpful, the hike was wonderful and the views breathtaking. The information provided was a life-saver (especially for those days when no huts were on the way to restock the energy).
We used Hut to Hut Slovenia to organise our 6-day hike in the Karawanke and the Julian Alps. They took the stress out of the booking process as none of the huts have websites and bookings must be made over the phone - coming from Australia, that would have been difficult.
Great trip: excellent customer service, great route, excellent hotel stays during the tour. The bike rental company that they use is the best I've ever experienced in Europe. I am even planning to buy the same bike for myself at home that I had on the trip! We had this service also book our stay for after the tour, and that is the only thing I would do differently next time, since the hotel for the several days after the tour was not very good, had mediocre service and not a good location. But for the tour, I would definitely recommend DenmarkBikeTours.
We had an incredible trek! The itinerary was exactly what we wanted, communication was excellent with the company. They were so helpful throughout the planning process and when we were in country. Slovenia exceeded our expectations. We can't recommend them enough!
We did the alps to the adriatic bike tour and let me tell you it was fantastic. The bikes were great, the organization of the company was great, the hotels they picked were (mostly) perfect. We honestly had a 10/10 experience. Our bags were in our hotel room every afternoon we arrived!! We had no issues, the app they use to give you information about your ride and help you get from point A to point B were extremely impressive. We never felt lost, or confused, or off track and we had zero cell service for the most part!!
Tour was very well organised with lots of information to help guide us through the holiday. All the accommodation was great. Particularly liked the self catering Glamping Mountain Fairytale and the Berghi Hotel. Food at the Hotel Starkl restaurant was great as well. The route took us through a beautiful part of the country on quiet roads and cycle paths. The cycle paths are much better than in the UK and I would also like to say that Slovenian car drivers are much more patient and tolerant than many drivers in the UK. Beautiful country. Really enjoyed it.
We had an amazing trip overall! The route was well planned, although we did find it challenging to navigate through a couple of sections (e.g., mud in the forest after rain; single tire track through tall grasses). We were thinking that it might be a good idea to provide options to keep on more well-travelled pathways. Our only other suggestion would be to offer a couple of choices where you might want to spend the night. Most of the hotels were good and a couple were great but there were also a coupe we might have changed. As I said, it was an awesome trip; one that I would highly recommend! Beautiful countryside to cycle through!
We had a fabulous 14 day trip starting in Bled and ending in Pula. We were 2 couples on a self guided trip. Everything went without one problem. They are beautiful countries and cycling 12 days was a beautiful way to see them. Everybody on staff at Solvenia Cycling holidays were great to work with. You can not go wrong by using them to plan your trip either guided or unguided. 5 stars is not high enough.
Walking in the Bernese Oberland felt like a dream. The trails were incredibly scenic, with views of snow-capped peaks, turquoise lakes, and picturesque Swiss villages. The accommodations were comfortable and ideally located, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Lan was wonderful in helping me plan my days and ensuring I had everything I needed. Switzerland’s natural beauty is unmatched, and this trip was the perfect way to experience it on foot.
I did the Slovenian Tour of Champions cycling trip in June 2025. An absolutely fantastic trip! I had never been to Slovenia before and the places we went were absolutely stunning! Our guide, Blaž, and his crew were very thoughtful and encouraging throughout. The climbs were tough — several that were 8-10 mile climbs at average 7-10% grade that took me over an hour (and sometimes over 90 minutes) of continuous climbing. But the landscape made each climb worth it! Tina did a great job on pre-trip communications and chose outstanding boutique hotels and restaurants for each location. This is a smaller operation as compared to a Backroads-type company, but I’m very glad I went with them. We had a very small group of cyclists (4 Americans and 1 Australian), and everyone was super nice and got along well. The routes were well-chosen and we saw many of the top areas you’d want to see on a trip to Slovenia (Lake Bled, Lake Bohinj, Triglav National Forest, etc.). Highly recommended!
We had the most wonderful and memorable experience we could have asked for and it is mostly because of hut to hut and their wonderful staff! I really felt that they were exceptionally thorough in making our excursion easy and comfortable the entire time, answering our many questions and providing us with all the information we needed. They really went the extra mile in making an important part of our trip even more special and truly appreciate that. 11/10 experience through and through.
Walking the GR10 was an incredible way to experience the Pyrenees. Each day brought something different—lush valleys, high mountain passes, and charming villages. The huts provided a warm bed, great meals, and a chance to meet fellow hikers. The clear itinerary and support from Hut to Hut Hiking Europe made it easy to focus on enjoying the trail. I’d recommend this hike to anyone looking for a multi-day trek with lots of variety.

I found this travel agency online while searching for tours that utilized Italy’s trains for moving around the country, and was very pleased with their services. Simona from their team helped plan and arrange a dream vacation for me and my daughter through Italy, tailoring our trip to focus only on the cities and sightseeing experiences we wanted and within the budget I provided for her. The hotels she found for us (5 in total across 4 cities) all were unique - 3 were historic - and locally owned, helping us to soak in the culture of each city. All hotels were easily walkable to everything we wanted to see and do. Additionally, Simona made herself very available throughout the trip to help us deal with any issues we had from figuring out how to store our luggage on trains to arranging for “lost” headphones to be mailed back to the US. She really went above and beyond to be helpful and make sure our trip was wonderful. She also gave us helpful recommendations for restaurants and other local things to do in each city. She really seemed to know each location very well! I am not sure she would call herself this, but I thought of Simona as our personal “travel concierge,” and it worked out perfectly. Being from the United States, I was a little hesitant about using a foreign company I’d found online and sending money via wire to them for payments, etc. But rest assured that this company is very legitimate and provides excellent service. I highly recommend them.
I completed the self guided Cycladic and Sparta tours. The itinerary put together included breathtaking bike routes, excellent hotel stops, top recommendations for places to visit and eat. Using the Trip app to manage the entire tour by phone was seamless and effortless. Logistics in Greece, like transporting luggage, can be difficult and the team worked well with the local providers to overcome all of these challengers.

I could not recommend Hut to Hut enough. I am a young, solo female traveller and Hut to Hut made the whole experience so easy and comfortable. The instructions, guide and all provided applications are very straightforward and easy to follow, and if there are any issues their customer service is amazing. And the price is incredibly reasonable with my hike including accomodation and some food.
I did the Fisherman Trail in Portugal mid April and I had a fantastic time. The trip was well organized and the luggage transfer seamless. The maps were clear and easy to navigate, and always got me to my destination safe and sound. And the accommodations felt like a complete splurge, especially the B&B. And of course the views along the trail were amazing. Definitely would recommend booking with them!

Bike and Barge Tours offers the best of Holland's people and scenery from a bike's saddle and a sailing ship's deck. We took the April Tulip Tour which was fantastic. We were able to see so much more than tulips however as we learned about Holland's historic and innovative battle with the water. The tour offered superb meals on board our three-mast sailing ship. Our Dutch guides were the best -- amiable and informative. I cannot recommend this company and tour enough.
Our trip to Slovenia was a deep dive into its rich history and culture, thanks to the incredible planning by Urska. From the moment we arrived, we felt immersed in the local culture. Our 3 day hike had to be rearranged 2/2 weather, so a one day hike was arranged for us. We appreciated the concern about weather and conditions. Our hike was with Matevz, who was a great guide. Very helpful and knowledgable. Would definitely recommend and will be back for a longer hike one day!
We chose Walking Tours in Brittany because they offered a self-guided tour. They were extremely helpful before we left and during the trip when a few small issues arose. They responded immediately and solved each issue quickly. Their written guide was very informative and explained how to prepare for this adventure and an adventure it was. We saw the most extraordinary land and seascapes. The hike was challenging at times but well worth the effort.
Es war eine super Wanderung. Man hatte jeden Tag eine andere Szenerie und die Strecke war perfekt aufgeteilt (anstrengendere Tage und lockere Wege zwischendurch). Die Streckenlänge war perfekt und man hat immer gut 5-6 Stunden gebraucht. Die Informationen, die wir bekommen haben, waren super und auch auf der Karte waren immer wieder Essensmöglichkeiten und Wasserstellen markiert, sodass man sich perfekt drauf einstellen konnte. Alles in allem sind wir mehr als zufrieden und empfehlen es sehr!
Incredible Experience. We chose the Balkan Extended tour. Our guide Teodor was absolutely awesome He was so knowledgeable in the history of each region and country, gave great suggestions on food and restaurants to try, and was so very informative on the people and culture for every site we visited. He was so interesting with a good sense of humor. He made the trip so enjoyable. We loved the small group tour as well. The cities and sites visited were great. We visited more sites and cities than I thought we were going to. There may be times you wish you could stay more time in an city or site but really this is the ideal tour to give you more than ever imagined you could experience or learn about the Balkans. This tour got us excited about coming back to the Balkans some time and now we know where we want to go explore more. Highly recommended.
If I could give 100 stars, I would. I don't know if you're a big company or just two or three people behind this, but thank you for such an amazing experience. It was a beautiful adventure. The trails were perfect, each day different from the rest, and a natural beauty that I have seldom seen elsewhere. I had no experience in the world of hiking, and now I can't wait to do the next one! (hopefully next time organised by myself 😂). I had one of the best weeks of my whole life. Thank you a million guys.
We had a 11 day tour through Croatia, Montengro and Albania through the Balkan Tours. Everything from the coordination of the tour leading up to it to our most fabulous tour guide Dejan was absolutley perfect. Dejan was so flexible in accommodating our needs and after a few days of getting to know us made alternative suggestions of our tour to suit our needs. The accommodation bookings that Marusa made were absolutely brilliant and if there was any issues at all we would have not known about it as Dejan sorted without being non the wiser. We cannot thank and recommend The Balkan Tours enough.

The route over the Triglav had to be changed due to snow. Our guide Jan and also Luka for the summit ascent were prudent, helpful, showed the way, removed poles and luggage where necessary and made sure that we came back safe and sound. He knew the plants. In the huts, he organized the food and we played cards. The shuttle to the start and from the finish was also excellent.
I found this place with a simple Google search, and I never could’ve expected the custom experience I received. They provided options to help my husband and I hone in on exactly what we wanted to do for our honeymoon. We had perfectly curated GPS-lead rides all across the country, they booked all of our hotels, and planned all of our transportation. Every place that we went was so beautiful. I’m so grateful that we found this company to help us plan our honeymoon, couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
I would highly recommend anyone doing this tour take the e-bike option. There were only 3 of us on our tour who completed this on regular bikes. Four others who started out on regular bikes swapped over to e-bikes after the first day. The climbs are long and steep. There is pretty much only up or down, not much flat or undulating road. It is doable, but very challenging. If you are on an e-bike then this also helps with the group staying together and no-one having to wait too long for others to catch up. The bikes were really good and had great gearing that was capable of handling the steeper climbs. When we booked we were unaware that we would be riding in a group of 20plus at all time. Thankfully our group had prior group riding experience but we did observe other large groups with less than desirable riding behaviours.Others in our group were extremely understanding and supportive. Our guide, David, was very adamant about staying safe on the road. He was flexible with the itinerary and made changes to suit the weather conditions and to ensure we got in as much riding as possible. He was vey knowledgeable about Croatian history and agriculture and taught us lots about the country he is so passionate about. Our captain, Tolma, was also amazing and along with his awesome crew, made our cruise an enjoyable experience.
Just back from enjoying a long weekend cycling in Slovenia, the company arranged transfers to and from the airport, hotels, bikes, bike routes, including what to see and where, and even transportation of bags between hotels. The only thing we needed to worry about was where to eat; the whole trip was painless, and I would highly recommend them.
Incredibly route through the Karavank & Julien ranges. Huts were rustic & scenic and all check-ins were smooth. The route guides that Hut-to-Hut provided were extremely helpful, available offline & gave us peace of mind while traveling through new territory. Highly recommend.
Wow! What an awesome tour! We did a self-guided cycling tour on gravel bikes and it could not have been more enjoyable! Such a beautiful country and such an intimate travel experience. We biked through mountain valleys, over mountain passes, along rivers, through small villages, through wooded hills, through vineyards, and along the Adriatic coast. Kudos to everyone that put this trip together! The hotel accommodations were perfect and the bikes we rented were high quality! Thank you!

Nina did a great job organising the Stubai Hohenweg for us. She was always helpful with our additional requests for hotels before and after the hiking, and kept us up to date with availability for the huts we wanted including the possibility of a change to a preferred hut even during our hike. Very impressed with the organisation and with the Stubai area for hiking generally.
We had an incredible time on the 5 day hut to hut hike in Croatia. The views were perfect, the accommodation much nicer than we imagined and we had a fantastic support guide - Ivan - who was very friendly and made the whole trip possible. We were also able to go to the beach most days after we finished our hiking and everything was very flexible. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
From the very beginning, the Cycling Holidays Austria team have been amazing. They provided a flexible service that met our specific needs and journey itinerary, which a good number of other providers would not entertain. The speed of reply was excellent and the use of the Trip Plans and Cycle with GPS apps just made our journey so easy. The quality of the rental bikes was excellent and they easily met the demands of the cycle track. Overall, excellent friendly service that we will definitely use again next year as we plan our continued trip along the stunning Danube River. Huge thanks to the team.
A fantastic 10 day hike in Slovenia. The customer service could not have been better when we had to change our start date at short notice. Similarly when one of the passes was closed on the hiking trail the automatically organised a bus transfer to take us to the next point at no additional costs. Again when one of the hotels was ‘problematic’ and demanded we pay (despite this being booked through the company) they were on the phone in minutes and had forwarded through a refund within 24hrs. As for the hike - simply stunning!
Communications with Hut-to-hut personnel was pleasant, quick and helpful. The initial guidelines for preparing for the trip (what to bring and so on) was necessarily thorough for a first timer in the Alps. The description of each days' journey was helpful in preparing for planning your food and drinks. The gps app was good to check your whereabouts. I would have found an estimate for the duration of each journey beforehand helpful yet I understand that it can be difficult as we all fare differently. For a healthy female in her late 40's with moderate physical status (meaning 2-3 times of gym per week and brisk daily walking/bicycle instead of jogging or running) a trip of rating 3/5 in challenging was pretty rough yet doable. My 16yrs old son not doing much aerobic training adabted quickly to the needs of that trip. Just to give a reference if anyone is wondering what the ratings might mean to them. 😊 All in all so happy we did this and a big thank you for the Hut-to-hut crew!
The Sparta self guided tour was the best cycle tour I’ve ever done. Everything from the apps and their ease of use, routes, sights, places of interest, places to eat and accommodation selection was absolutely sensational. A credit to Timotej, Janez and Klemen for their skill in preparing such a journey and incredible experience for us. Already thinking about the next one!!
I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Hut to Hut Hiking. They were exceedingly responsive, patiently answering my many emails' worth of questions about itineraries, schedules, logistics, and the like. They helped to create an absolutely perfect trek according to the limited time I had and they provided helpful information for me to organize travel to and from the start and end points. Hut to Hut's communication is professional, their website is useful, and the itinerary and GPS tracking information they sent me once I paid/booked was flawless. The trails were easy to follow, Ride with GPS worked perfectly, and I was so grateful to have relied on a company to facilitate my route in a country where I was unfamiliar. I'm used to planning my own routes, but Hut to Hut Hiking's expertise and insight made the entire experience infinitely more pleasant.
Europe Cycling Holidays organized a customized, self-guided road cycling trip for my husband and I from Ljubljana to the Julian Alps and ending in Piran in Slovenia. At the beginning of the organizing process, I used their ZOOM mtg option to ask a lot of questions and determine what we wanted e.g. hotels, room upgrades, routes, etc. With follow-up emails over the next few weeks, and fixing a few glitches that arose, we were excited for our 10-day trip. And we were NOT disappointed! Our trip was amazing. The rental bikes, hotels, GPX files, scheduled luggage transfers, detailed itinerary in an app (including restaurant suggestions, GPS profiles, bike shops en route, luggage pickups), etc. were all amazing. The country of Slovenia is incredibly beautiful and we enjoyed the challenges of the routes in the Alps, the serenity of Lake Bled, the spectacular scenery of Goriška Brda wine region, and everything in between. We had quick responses via WhatsApp from Customer Service for any issues we had during our trip e.g. organizing a van transfer on a day we decided not to ride due to a fall and bad weather. Overall, we had a great experience in Slovenia and highly recommend Europe Cycling Holidays.
This was a wonderful trip! They communicated quickly, usually the next day. They were patient with amending trip plans. Ivana was great. She figured us out quickly and modified our trip to make it wonderful. I can imaging that spending a week + with the same person could get old, but Ivana felt more like having a friend go along with us. Slovenia (1st visit) seemed like a cross between Switzerland and Italy. The people are friendly. The topography is varied for such a small country. I just loved this country. I would go again in a second. Go with World Discovery. They know the ins and outs and helped us avoid most of the crowds. Everything was set up perfectly.
A fantastic 3 day self guided Hut to Hut hike around Triglav National Park in Slovenia. We experienced a full range of weather which made it an unforgettable trip. The organisation and back up support with GPS maps etc was excellent. Hut staff were friendly and very happy to give advice and suggestions on the routes and directions. Would recommend.

Tina and her team gave me perfect support on my hut hike through the Triglav National Park in July. In particular, they had to cater to my specific needs twice, which they did for me with no problem. I once had to cancel at short notice before the start of the trip because my father was not feeling well, but then we found a solution and I was able to start the hike. Tina and team first canceled the huts immediately and then reserved them again for me. Even when my condition caused a little tour change again, I immediately had suggestions and these were immediately available in the Trip plans app. I liked this app very much because it was easy to handle and the huttohut-team gave a short overview how the daily tour will be and which highlights – mostly beautiful views – I will see“
Daja Gorišek was the travel agent from here who meticulously organised the trek all the way from Meiringen to Lenk im Simmental. She took care of all the details -- from planning the actual trek route, the detailed GPS map for each stage, to the hotels. The actual experience was entirely consistent with what was promised.
We had the most wonderful 10 days with our guide Tine exploring Slovenia and Croatia. Although I am sure it is also incredible in the summer, we were thrilled that we chose winter as we got to explore in the beautiful snow and with low human traffic - just magnificent. Tine was an endless fountain of knowledge, kind, careful driver and a great human being all around. Thank you Tine and Balkan Tours, we loved every minute!
Slovenia Cycling Holidays arranged a custom itinerary for my friends and I to do an 8 day cycling trip (10 nights of lodging) around the Julian Alps and to the coast at Piran. Their planning made it really easy for us to arrive to Slovenia with all details of our trip already figured out. They booked our lodging, provided luggage transfers, and gave us daily GPS files for the cycling route every day which made for an amazing trip! I'd definitely recommend this company for your next cycling trip you do in Slovenia or other parts of Europe!
Cycling & Walking in Slovenia: This was a brilliant holiday - the country is perfect for mixing cycling and walking - compact, great infrastructure, super friendly people and stunning scenery. The itinerary is “about right” but would be vastly improved if there were a few options each day for both cycling and hiking routes. We used the cycling routes as a “base” and added from there, but after the first hike we took to the cicerone guide book to provide us with the walking routes. The hire bikes (A2U) were great quality. The hotels were lovely but seemed surprised we arrived with bikes! The bag transfers were a bit patchy arriving after 2pm (but just before 4) on one day - so don’t assume everything will arrive before you on a cycle transfer day.

Our experience riding the Alps to Adriatic route through Slovenia Cycling Holidays was absolutely incredible. I absolutely recommend planning a trip with them. We were five girls travelling to Romania to experience Andrea Bocelli perform at the Unforgettable Music Festival in Bucharest on the 12th of September 2025. We wanted to make a tour of the Balkans following the concert and The Balkan Tours put together a very special itinerary for us. They arranged for excellent quality transfers from Romania to Bulgaria (Velico Tanovo and Sofia) to Belgrade in Serbia and onto Montenegro (Podgorica and Bay of Kato) and finally to Dubrovnik and Split in Croatia. They arranged excellent quality hotels with breakfast and great locations, and personalized tours to enjoy each city and destination in a meaningful manner. They gave quality suggestions about places to eat, and visit, and loads of other historical information about the places we were visiting. They created a tour app for us to make it easy to know all the details with important phone numbers. The Balkan Tours took good care of us, we felt safe and connected to our agent at all times, and we enjoyed our two weeks in the region. We would recommend their company to travelers looking for a personalized service and customized tours of the Beautiful Balkans. There is so much more to see, and we had too little time, we will most certainly come back and use the company again to assist us in our travel plans. Hut to Hut was a wonderful company to work with. I didn't have time to plan my own route and book the huts so it was a relief to have someone else do this. I chose the self-guided tour. I live and hike in the Rocky Mountains and the trails in the Julian Alps were well marked and the GPS track from Hut to Hut was easy to use and know exactly where I was. There was a rain warning one day and Hut to Hut was quick to respond and provide alternate routes if I desired, and more information about the weather. The mountain huts they booked were me were spectacular. One airbnb in Trenta was, unexpectedly, a few miles extra walk after a long day but Hut to Hut called the airbnb owner and arranged for me to be picked up in town which my feet and I were very grateful for. I would definitely use them again and will recommend them highly to anyone considering this amazing and beautiful trip!
Our guide was great in showing us around and meeting our needs. Traveling to different parts of the country and seeing a variety of sites was excellent. Petzen bike park was really fun. As well as the Golovec and Kočevsko areas. The single track portion of the Muggia ride was too steep and loose.
I was admittedly nervous about booking this trip and trusting that all of the pieces would fall into place. We had transportation to and from airports, luggage transportation, multiple hotels and mountain huts booked…a lot of moving pieces. I’m delighted to report that it was all seamless and that our trip to Slovenia was the trip of a lifetime! The hotels chosen were gorgeous and comfortable. Transportation was perfect. Everything was exactly as it should be: complete perfection! And Slovenia: this country now holds our heart!

Once in a lifetime experience. Hut to Hut hiking Dolomites was a great choice to help us plan our trip. The app, support leading up to the trip, and thorough instructions and recommendations provided prior to the trip made planning as easy as possible. We chose the three day, two night seiser alm highlights and it was the perfect amount of time for us. The daily effort was strenuous (about 10 miles give or take each day, steady and challenging ascension), but enjoyable for two avid hikers like us. The site said a fitness level of 2 or 3 out of 5, but it felt like closer to a 4 in some stretches. The hotels/huts we stayed in were fantastic. The rooms, staff, and amenities were excellent and added to our wonderful immersion in this beautiful area of the world. We will definitely use hut to hut hiking Dolomites again, should we have the opportunity to explore the area in the future.
Wonderful experience - all the information provided for our Berlin to Oslo self guided cycle was brilliant and once on the ground, all ran smoothly with stunning routes for cycling. Unfortunately we couldn’t finish the tour due to an emergency back home. But this is the true test of a good operator - they swung into action, ensuring we didn’t have to worry about anything else but getting home. Thank you. We will definitely be back to complete the trip!

Had an amazing 5 days with peace of mind knowing all reservations were good to go and we had a solid itinerary planned out. Really amazing experience. The 9-Day Essentials Tour took us to beautiful cities and countryside across the Balkans, and our guide Stefan was so kind and deeply knowledgeable about each place we went. The hotel accommodations were perfectly fine and in prime locations in the cities, each with a nice breakfast included. Communication from the company was fast and professional. I highly recommend this company, and we will work with them again when we are able to come back to the Balkans!
It was great! TMB is spectacular. For sure, I was challenged to my senior capacity--but I was so glad to have done it I(with my daughter, who took the hard routes, when I opted for some shortcuts)--and would love to do it again! The company delivered as promised. They were very responsive with some last minute changes while on the route, including a rescheduled pick up and alternative routes on some days, including a ladderless one for me on the next to last day. An agent was available by phone on weekends. My bag was safely and efficiently transported from Les Houches, to all the huts in between, and then to our hotel in Chamonix. The scenery was wonderful.
Hut to Hut Dolomites is AMAZING. Booking from afar (USA) is always stressful but they took care of everything. We actually didn't stay in a hut but rather in hotels that they arranged. Everything was perfect. Nice hikes planned. Great accomodations. Nice recommendations on local options, etc. Really felt like we could just show up and have fun. Plus everyone there is so friendly and easy to work with. Truly makes a difference.
My group of 3 had a blast on the Tour du Mont Blanc which were booked with this group. They had very helpful trip handouts and daily maps which were easy to follow. They also addressed our questions very well and were attentive. I would recommend to anyone else who's considering doing the TMB.

My husband and I recently completed a Walking Holiday of the Amalfi Coast for 11 days, which was absolutely fantastic and the highlight of our trip to Italy. The travel agents who organised the tour Anja and Samo were very helpful, adjusting and customising it to suit our requests. The accomodation booked for us was very comfortable and the transfer of our luggage from hotel to hotel took place with no issues. Our hiking guides including Alessandra, Marcella and Diego were all exceptional. They were friendly, supportive and extremely knowledgable about the towns and regions we walked in. They ensured we had a fantastic experience creating memories, while enjoying the walking, the amazing views, the tasty food and the beautiful Italian culture. I highly recommend this walking tour and would encourage anyone who was planning a similar holiday to book through this company. It was a great way to see and experience the Amalfi Coast.

Great trip: excellent customer service, great route, excellent hotel stays during the tour. The bike rental company that they use is the best I've ever experienced in Europe. I am even planning to buy the same bike for myself at home that I had on the trip! We had this service also book our stay for after the tour, and that is the only thing I would do differently next time, since the hotel for the several days after the tour was not very good, had mediocre service and not a good location. But for the tour, I would definitely recommend DenmarkBikeTours.
We had an incredible experience booking our Dolomites hiking adventure through Hut-To-Hut Hiking Dolomites (one of the many companies operated through World Discovery). Traveling all the way from Hawai‘i, we were initially a bit hesitant about booking with a company based in Slovenia, but everything was flawless. Even factoring in the 12 hour time difference between Hawai'i and Europe, their communication was fast and professional. The planning materials were thorough and incredibly helpful including detailed daily hiking routes, suggested scenic stops and snack breaks at rifugios along the way, an app with offline downloadable maps customized to our routes, and clear hiking and safety guides. Every rifugio they booked for us was fantastic: clean, welcoming, well-located, and full of charm. They booked us at a 5-star hotel for the last night and the spa treatments were heavenly after days of hiking. The post-hike airport transportation was seamless, and we were especially grateful to have their help booking so close to peak summer season. There’s no way we could have secured such great rifugios on our own, each one they chose was a highlight. We felt fully supported throughout the trip, even though it was self-guided. They provide a 24/7 Whatsapp number which was nice to have in case of emergencies. We highly recommend Hut-To-Hut Hiking Dolomites for anyone looking to hike the Dolomites without the stress of figuring out all the logistics yourself. Would book with them again in a heartbeat.
Tour was very well organised with lots of information to help guide us through the holiday. All the accommodation was great. Particularly liked the self catering Glamping Mountain Fairytale and the Berghi Hotel. Food at the Hotel Starkl restaurant was great as well. The route took us through a beautiful part of the country on quiet roads and cycle paths. The cycle paths are much better than in the UK and I would also like to say that Slovenian car drivers are much more patient and tolerant than many drivers in the UK. Beautiful country. Really enjoyed it.
We had an amazing trip overall! The route was well planned, although we did find it challenging to navigate through a couple of sections (e.g., mud in the forest after rain; single tire track through tall grasses). We were thinking that it might be a good idea to provide options to keep on more well-travelled pathways. Our only other suggestion would be to offer a couple of choices where you might want to spend the night. Most of the hotels were good and a couple were great but there were also a coupe we might have changed. As I said, it was an awesome trip; one that I would highly recommend! Beautiful countryside to cycle through!
I recently completed the Tour of Champions ride which is a 7-day road cycling tour in Slovenia. The entire experience was fantastic. The cycling in Slovenia is amazing. The roads were great and the scenery on each ride was spectacular. Our guide, Blaz, was fantastic. He planned routes throughout Slovenia and some parts of Italy that were amazing. The routes on each day included some amazing climbs which were challenging, to say the least, but after they were done there was an excitement among everyone in the group about completing the climbs. The routes also included some amazing flats where we were cruising along in a nice pace line. Blaz was also a great person. He was supportive of everyone in the group, and he was so encouraging and attentive to everyone. His attention to detail was admirable. The crew was also great in the support van. The hotels, the meals, and especially the bike that I rented was fantastic. It was a top-of-the-line bike which was equivalent to my bike at home. The accommodations were superb and the selection of restaurants for dinner each night were great. Tina, who I dealt with when it came to organizing the trip was great. She was very accessible, and she answered all the questions I had when organizing the trip for my wife and a friend of mine. Tina also helped me organize some kiteboarding in Croatia after the cycling trip which was outside the scope of her business model which was above and beyond. By the way the kiteboarding in Croatia was fantastic! The group was small with a total of 5 riders not including the guide. If anyone is interested in challenging themselves on a road cycling trip, I would strongly recommend this trip.
Walking in the Bernese Oberland felt like a dream. The trails were incredibly scenic, with views of snow-capped peaks, turquoise lakes, and picturesque Swiss villages. The accommodations were comfortable and ideally located, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Lan was wonderful in helping me plan my days and ensuring I had everything I needed. Switzerland’s natural beauty is unmatched, and this trip was the perfect way to experience it on foot.
My self-guided Bergen Bike Tour was an amazing experience. The route took me through some of Norway's most beautiful landscapes, like the Sognefford and the charming village of Solvorn. Cycling along the Gaularfjellet National Tourist Route with its stunning waterfalls and glaciers was both a challenge and a highlight. The GPS navigation made it easy to follow the route, and I loved having the freedom to explore at my own pace. The team at Bike Tours Norway was incredibly helpful from start to finish. Timotej was especially great-he answered all my questions and made sure everything ran smoothly. The accommodations were cozy, and the luggage transfers made the whole trip stress-free. This tour was the perfect mix of adventure and independence, and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to see Norway's stunning nature up close.
My walking holiday in Chamonix and the French Alps was unforgettable. Each day brought stunning views of towering peaks, alpine meadows, and glacial streams. I could not recommend Hut to Hut enough. I am a young, solo female traveller and Hut to Hut made the whole experience so easy and comfortable. The instructions, guide and all provided applications are very straightforward and easy to follow, and if there are any issues their customer service is amazing. And the price is incredibly reasonable with my hike including accomodation and some food.

Our trip to Slovenia was a culinary adventure like no other! Ava worked closely with us to create an itinerary that focused on the rich flavors of Slovenian cuisine. We started in Ljubljana, where we took a private cooking class with a local chef who taught us how to make traditional dishes like potica and jota. It was hands-on and so much fun! The highlight was a wine-tasting tour in the picturesque Vipava Valley, where our guide Tine introduced us to some fantastic local wines paired with gourmet food. Each meal was a celebration of Slovenian culture, and we left with not only full bellies but also new cooking skills! I can't recommend this experience enough for food lovers.
Bike and Barge Tours offers the best of Holland's people and scenery from a bike's saddle and a sailing ship's deck. We took the April Tulip Tour which was fantastic. We were able to see so much more than tulips however as we learned about Holland's historic and innovative battle with the water. The tour offered superb meals on board our three-mast sailing ship. Our Dutch guides were the best -- amiable and informative. I cannot recommend this company and tour enough.
Overall the trip was well organized. There was a bit of confusion at the beginning with respect to hotel reservations and luggage transfer but Anja was very helpful in getting details sorted and responding promptly to any questions and concerns. We were travelling in the off season and in some small towns there were no or limited restaurants and food options. Anja helped us figure out GPS links and maps for our hikes. We very much appreciated all her efforts. The hikes were beautiful and we would book with Anja again.

We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our self-guided Alps to Adriatic tour. We worked with the agency to tailor a trip with some extra days in areas that were of interest to us. They were great to work with. We were super impressed with the package and with the high quality of the tourism infrastructure in Slovenia (well maintained roads, excellent directional and informational signage, lovingly restored historic structures). Pride of place is evident everywhere. We loved how the route took us through the heart of the country on bike paths and back roads and rail trails, through farm fields and vineyards and olive groves. The scenery is truly stunning. Each day was different and full of pleasant surprises. The length of the stages was well chosen to allow time for side trips. The trip planner document we received was full of helpful ideas. The restaurant recommendations were excellent and thoroughly reliable. We had some truly memorable meals. We received up-to-date information on road conditions and on alternative routes that were, as promised, equally stunning. The hotels were all very comfortable and offered a great spread at breakfast to fuel up for the next day of cycling. Communication about details like bike pickup and transport logistics could have been better, but all around, the trip was delightful. We look forward to doing another trip with these folks in the future.
Excellent all round. Had a 16-day tour by the Balkan Tours, with a driver and guide (same person - Dejan), who took care of everything. It was a lot of driving, and him being an ex-history teacher really brought the historic places to life. I cannot think of a more educational and enjoyable holiday.
Carros de Foc is a magical adventure with a little bit of spice for all trekkers: the vibe of the huts, the serene Lakes, the challenging trails, the occasional scrambles, options for extra peaks to climb, and a chance to serendipitously travel with strangers on the same loop. HUT TO HUT were great facilitators and accommodators to our needs and I would use them again for a memorable experience in the wilderness. I would recommend that a CDFmap be provided at the earliest stage so that trekkers can be better prepared.
I had the privilege of experiencing the hut-to-hut hike in Slovenia. It was my first visit to the country. Slovenia holds immense natural beauty with super clean lakes like Bled and Bohinj where you can safely swim and enjoy the mountains all around. The hut-to-hut hike was very well organized by the group, and they were very responsive to all questions. They provided access to a trip organizer and GPS app which was super accurate. Language was not even an after thought, everyone in Slovenia speaks excellent English, and the locals are among some of the most friendly Europeans I have come across. I definitely plan to go back with family again, and highly recommend the experience.
Our dream of climbing Mont Blanc has come true. There is no guarantee for this, as the weather is unpredictable. Everything else was very well organized by you: from the very beginning, we were able to ask our questions about preparation and received relevant answers. Later, there were some rebookings that you facilitated. On site, we met our mountain guide: he led us in an absolutely professional manner and gave us a lot of confidence on the mountain. Everything went well with the accommodations too. We are completely satisfied and can only recommend World Discovery.
Anja and the team at Hut to Hut Hiking designed a terrific 6 day Dolomites himimg adventure for the three of us. The route was breathtaking and balanced, despite our booking very late (June for July), and everything went smoothly, including our luggage transfer. The Rifugios surpassed our expectations and the meals were all amazing. Our experience (5 day ride from Bled to Trieste) was fantastic. Europe Cycling was great on all aspects. The routes were clear and on rural roads with little traffic. The hotels were great. The service was fantastic (including a rain day where 4 of our group were transported by van from one location to another - arranged quickly and easily with the team on the actual day). You wont be disappointed. We'd definitely use them again.
Loved our bike ride from lake Bled in Slovenia to Pula in Croatia over 13 days .We were given excellent hard tail bikes with 650WH batteries. The scenery was amazing. The route we followed was on a GPS supplied by the company and went on rural roads and tracks with virtually no traffic The organisation by the company was terrific and our bags were delivered promptly to our hotels. The hotels were well situated in the old part of towns we stayed in I would highly recommend this trip. One of the most interesting and scenic self guided bike tours I have ever been on
I used them for the first time for a quick side trip to Slovenia with my friends and we didn't want to drive ourselves. We had the most amazing experience hiking the Via Alpina Bear Trek organized by Daja!! It’s always nerve wrecking trusting an organization to plan and prepare all parts of a trip like this but it worked out perfectly and we had no issues.
